PSE is no longer enrolling students

Yesterday the South Carolina Public Charter School District (SCPCSD) confirmed that PSE will not open this coming Fall 2014. Due to several factors the SCPCSD will not be providing funding moving forward. While our wind-down procedure with the district has not yet been set, it is our understanding that the district will assist with your child's placement in another virtual school within the district, or you may select such a school or any other school you may wish to attend. -- posted on August 5, 2014

If you have questions about the closing of PSE, you may contact the SCPCSD at 803-734-8322. You can also learn more about other charter school options in the SCPCSD by clicking here .

Other Virtual Schools in the SCPCSD

All virtual schools below have agreed to expedite the enrollment process for PSE students. You simply need an unofficial transcript to get started. Request one now! These other schools have also agreed to work with students who need to finish the second semester of year-long courses in the Fall. Just mention this to the school enrollment officer when you speak with them.

To start the enrollment process at another school, you will need an unofficial copy of your academic transcript.

Request an Unoffical Transcript.

NOTICE! If you have any questions regarding your child's special education services or 504 plan accommodations, please read the Child Find Document for more information.

While we will have no teachers from this point forward, our office in Columbia will be open for a limited time to assist in the transfer of records for students. Your new school may contact our office at 803-227-6670 for assistance with records while our office remains open.

We regret our closure, as I know that the vast majority of our students were excited about returning this next school year and were satisfied with the school and wished to continue here.

We are honored to have served you while in the PSE family. Thank you for your understanding in this matter and the best of luck to all our students.

Sincerely,

Michael D. Stokes
